OUR TEAM

Doug Williams
Doug Williams successfully led Sunnyvale ISD as its superintendent from 2007 to 2023. Williams and the Board of Trustees unified a divided community and successfully passed three bond packages between 2007 and 2018. He managed the construction of new campuses, athletic facilities and a competition-level auditorium. He led the district to a successful Tax Ratification Election in 2019 and another VATRE in 2022.Williams worked in four school districts, serving as teacher, assistant principal, principal, and athletic director.As the President of the Texas Association of School Administrators from 2021-2022, Williams advocated for school finance reform and for local accountability for school districts. He is married to his wife, Kris. They have three children and two grandchildren.

Blake Cooper
Blake Cooper earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from East Texas
State University.
As superintendent of Commerce ISD in 2008, he helped the district increase its enrollment and raise teacher and staff salaries. In recognition for his work, Cooper was named the Region 10 Superintendent of the Year in 2015. Cooper served as the Executive Director of Friends of Texas Public Schools, a non-profit organization that advocates for public education students, teachers and staff throughout the state of Texas. He is the founder of Educators Christian Fellowship, a ministry whose mission is to encourage and equip educators in dealing with the daily challenges of leading students in today's schools, colleges and universities. In addition, he is a Certified TEA Trainer for School Boards.
He is married to his wife of 42 years, Tammy, and their family includes
three children, all married, and seven amazing grandchildren.

Stan Surratt
Stan Surratt is in his 25th year as superintendent, and is currently superintendent at Lindale ISD. Originally from Linden, Texas, Surratt has worked as a teacher, coach, principal and superintendent for 38 years. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from Texas A&M Commerce.
Surratt led the district with 2009 and 2018 bond elections which resulted in the building of new facilities, an upgraded stadium, and district-wide improvements. Surratt implemented a district-wide iPad Rollout Program providing students with the technology needed to succeed. Surratt also directed a successful Tax Ratification Election in 2023 providing pay increases for teachers and staff.
Surratt was named the ESC7 Superintendent of the Year in 2014 and 2017.
​He is married to Julie, and he loves spending time with their four grandsons and playing golf.

Keith Bryant
Keith Bryant served as a Texas public school superintendent for 21 years, leading Lamesa ISD, Bullard ISD, and Lubbock-Cooper ISD. Under his leadership, districts experienced significant enrollment growth, facility expansion, and the development of innovative programs supporting both students and staff.
Bryant held numerous state-level leadership roles, including Chair of the UIL Legislative Council, Treasurer of the Fast Growth Schools Coalition, and board member of the TASB Benefits Cooperative. He also served on the TASA Executive Committee, chaired the TASA Legislative Committee, and was a member of the Commissioner’s Cabinet. In 2019, he was named Texas Superintendent of the Year by the Texas Association of School Boards.
He remains active in the Lubbock community and his local church. He and his wife, Tanya, have three children and four grandchildren. Bryant brings a deep understanding of public education and a proven record of guiding districts through growth, change, and innovation.

Kevin Worthy
Kevin Worthy has more than 30 years in Texas Public Schools as a special
education teacher, coach and administrator. He has served as the Royse City ISD superintendent since 2012 and has over 16 years of experience as a superintendent.
Worthy's planning for the future has resulted in a long range Master Facility Plan for Royse City ISD as well as two successful Strategic Plans and three successful bond programs.
Worthy is an advocate for the children and staff in his district and for districts across the state. Worthy mentors future superintendents through TASA’s mentorship program and has served on countless state-wide organizations where he works to ensure the quality of future Texas Public Schools.
He and his wife Shannon have two children, both graduates of Royse City High School.

Jennifer Settle
Jennifer Settle recently retired after 32 years in public education, closing out her career as the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in Sunnyvale ISD. Throughout her journey as a classroom teacher, elementary and secondary principal, and Director of Professional Development, Jennifer has remained deeply committed to instructional excellence and educator growth.
Now stepping into a new chapter, Jennifer will continue serving the education community as a consultant, specializing in strategic planning and professional development in instruction and leadership. She brings a deep passion for relational leadership, collaboration, and building meaningful connections that foster positive, lasting change.
Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership and loves partnering with educators to support impactful teaching and student learning.
Outside of her professional life, Jennifer enjoys time with her family. She’s married to John Settle, a former Athletic Director and Head Football Coach with a 34-year career in education. Together, they are proud parents of two grown children, Ben and Haley. When they are not traveling, Jennifer enjoys sports of all kinds and attending concerts.
